One America Festival 500 Mini-Marathon Half Marathon in Indianapolis

Seven Macomb women participated in the One America Festival 500 Mini-Marathon Half Marathon in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 7, 2011. The group enjoyed traveling to Indianapolis on Friday afternoon. The group was able to stay over night in the downtown area and carbo-loaded at a great Italian restaurant in the area. The race packet pick up and Expo were held nearby.

Training miles began over the winter and we were all glad to culminate with this 13.1 mile event that allows runners to run around the race track at Indy as part of the race route. Over 30,000 runners participated with more women participating than men.
